Dip & Slide Switches
Slide and Dip switches both work on the same principle and can be used for many different purposes. A Slide switch is a mechanical switch where the lateral movement (or sliding) of the top actuator makes or breaks a circuit. The most basic form is a single-pole on-off (SPST) switch but other contact configurations are also available (such as 3-position on-off-on variants). A Dip switch is a unit which comprises multiple slide switches in a single package. Our DIP switches are available with up to 12 switches in an on-off format. DIP switches are commonly used to pre-select factory settings in equipment such as computer peripherals.
